Ironwear strives to design and produce only the most innovative fitness products which exceed the requirements of the most demanding championship athletes and professional trainers. Ironwear develops and manufactures its own products to maintain high quality and short delivery times.
Ironwear is a technology leader. In 1996, Ironwear introduced a totally new weight technology, destined to replace current dumbbells and weights made with metal bars or loose shot. Ironwear developed a soft flexible polymer called Flex-metal™. This unique material, available only from Ironwear, has expanded the potential uses for weights.

Each has been created through insight, inspiration, and endless hours of development, and rigorous testing. Ironwear has designed the first truly wearable weight products. In addition to utilizing Flex-metal™, Ironwear has made many other improvements over standard weights. In one design breakthrough, Ironwear developed a unique stretch pocket to hold its weights securely against the body. Because no flaps or fasteners are used, the surface against the skin is smooth and soft; this, in combination with the Flex-Metal™, makes the weights extremely comfortable.
Ironwear is focused on the research and development of new technologies for future fitness products. To produce the "Worlds Best", Ironwear works continuously to make every feature superior to the competition. Other new state-of-the-art products are now undergoing field evaluation.
Military Use
Ironwear is currently being used throughout the government and military. FBI, CIA, Army, Navy, and Marine trainers use Ironwear themselves to train cadets. We support our service men and women; and offer special military discounts and we ship to APO addresses throughout the world. We have a long history of developing custom training equipment to meet the rigorous demand of special operation training.
Flex Metal
Flex-metal patented weight inserts are super flexible, thin and flat. All the edges are fully rounded, so there are no sharp or hard corners or bulges. Each individual weight insert has a fabric shell to allow it slide into the weight pockets.
Flex-metal patented weight inserts are much safer than any other weights and do not push into your body. Metal bars can be extremely dangerous if you fall and they move around during exercise. Metal bars also block your movement and can not be used comfortably for floor exercises. Shot and sand bags although less dangerous move around and bulge out causing localized high pressure areas which can chafe and bruise, and are also not suitable for floor exercises.

The inserts fit into the patented internal stretch pockets of many of IRONWEARs products including the Uni-Vest, Uni-Pants, Under Vest, Cool Vest, Hand Irons, Ankle Irons, Shoe Ironsand Iron Belt. Most IRONWEAR products are supplied with one weight per pocket, but the pockets have been specially designed to hold one or two weights securely.

Limited Lifetime Warranty
Ironwear strives to be the worlds best fitness company and trys to provide the best possible products and warranty.
Ironwear weight systems are covered by our limited lifetime warranty. Ironwear Flexmetal weights (unlike the cheap weights our competitors use) are the most expensive part of our weighted products. Please call us if you have any issues with any of our weights. Your weights should last for years. Flexmetal weights consist of atomized high purity iron and thermoplastic elastomers, the thermoplastic elastomers can be degraded by chemicals and ultra violet radiation.
Ironwear vest and other weight product shells are covered by a lifetime material and workmanship warranty against defects. These shells are sewn out of the highest quality and most durable fabrics, please contact us if you have any problems and we will have you remove the weights and return the shell for repair of replacement. Fabric shells like all clothing will wear out over time, the amount of time depends on the type of use and care the shell receives , with normal use shells will last for years, however crawling on the ground for example will cause the shell to wear out quicker.
For all of our vest shells, other adjustable weight such as wrist, ankle, pants, and shoe weights we offer new replacement shells for approximately half the cost of the product. For example we have many police departments, military, and football teams who have worn out their shells over the past 10 years who have replaced or upgraded their weights by buying new shells and use their old flexmetal weights.
